A great hotel to stay in!
We’ve stayed in Hamburg about 5 times in recent years now, but never used the Premier Inn. We booked this one based on the fantastic price we found. What a bargain! The hotel was beautiful and puts the Premier Inn hotels back in England to shame! The rooms were stylish, modern and comfortable with everything we needed. The staff were fabulous, and the breakfast we had in the last morning was great. A 5 minute walk to St. Pauli station, 5 minutes to the Reeperbahn and 15 mins or less to the waterfront. And whilst we were so close to the action of the Reeperbahn, we were amazed at how quiet it was (and we are light sleepers!). All in all, a fantastic hotel at a great price. We’ve already agreed that the next time we come to Hamburg, we will 100% look to stay here again. Thank you.

Great location, good breakfast but disappointing room
As a regular business traveller and user of Premier Inns, i have to say i am extremely disappointed with my experience at Hamburg City Millerntor hotel.
From a positive perspective the check inn was seamless and very friendly and the breakfast was fresh with a good selection but unfortunately that is where the positives end!
I paid a premium for a Premier plus room, when i walked in the room it was freezing, i switched the aircon on which showed the temp at 16 degrees so i whacked it up to 24 and automatic but two hours later was still only 20.5!
My first nights sleep was horrendous and the edge of the bed there was a hard steel wire all around the mattress. When i returned from work that evening i did some digging only to find that the mattress was on the bed upside down as per the attached picture!
As i went out for my evening meal around 8pm i duly reported the mattress and room temperature to reception:
Room temp response: Ah yes you need to set it at 34 degrees and leave a card in the slot all the time as its not very good (would of been nice to learn this at check in or even better still fix it!)
Mattress response: How do you mean upside down? After explaining that the pillow top that should be facing upwards and supporting/comforting myself was in fact keeping the bed base warm and comfortable i was told he would report it to maintenance but i could switch rooms if i wanted to. This was after 8pm and i hadn't eaten and was due to check out at 5.30am the following morning so retained the room as i didn't want to go back up and pack up to move rooms!
Needless to say i will not be returning to this hotel any time soon when i return to Hamburg and i am very disappointed with my stay.

Would book again immediately
Clean room, friendly staff and good breakfast. Easy check in and check out. Parking in the immediate vicinity possible even if the places are occupied directly at the hotel. Nice and quiet at night, that you can sleep too

Excellent location
Premier Hamburg City Millerntor is within walking distance of the St. Pauli underground station, the Reeperbahn area, Millerntor Stadium and Festplatz Dom. The check-in was quick and friendly. The whole hotel as well as the room and bathroom were clean and quite well decorated. At about 15 square meters, the room for a 3-star hotel was small, but very quiet. We slept excellently during our 3-day stay. Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, bacon, Nuremberg sausages, various types of sausage and cheese, spreads, as well as bread rolls, breads, coffee/tea, juices. At the main breakfast times we found the breakfast room for a 120 room hotel to be relatively small. Spontaneously finding a free table was a matter of luck. We parked our vehicle in the hotel's own underground car park with few parking spaces. However, only for 1 day. The entrance and exit, as well as the parking spaces and underground parking itself is very narrow and for 24-hour parking for the price of 24.00 euros for a 3-star hotel in our opinion excessively expensive. We have avoided a spacious underground car park with over 100 parking spaces for 6.00 euros for 24 hours diagonally opposite the hotel.

Very good hotel
We stayed for 2 nights at the Premier Inn Hamburg City Millerntor Hotel, it was all clean and our room also quiet.
Unfortunately, we were missing the soft pillows (not even got by the reception).
We were happy about the good drink prices, even for 2 hours happy hour.
The location is great.
Parking is also available nearby for free.
We will definitely come back.

Das ist ja komisch. Wir bieten in allen unseren Hotels weiche und etwas härtere Kissen standardmäßig in unseren Zimmern an.
