Great spot, friendly host and bike parking!

We went here on our trip through Northern Spain on bikes, We arrived on a hot afternoon and were immediately served cold beer from the private bar, perfect after a long day. We were then able to park our bikes in the courtyard away from the road. The rooms were comfy, breakfast was great too. All in all highly recommended.

Very nice rural hotel ....which dosent look much from the outside

The hotel is very cosy and claen The host is extemely welcoming and offers a very good food service The inside of the hotel is much better than you would expect from the outside appearance and has a nice courtyard with a small bar at the rear

A Warm Welcome and a Peaceful Night's Sleep

This is a charming rural small hotel with a bar and restaurant. If travelling through the Picos de Europa , then this sensibly priced immaculately clean hotel is ideal. Rooms are large with ensuite facilities. If you want to self cater, you can as there is a kitchen/dining room available. Views around are of the mountains and the river which runs in front of the building. The owners , Anton and Natalia are very welcoming and as we did not wish to drive further to find a restaurant, the owners created a delicious meal for us. Breakfast was huge and also delicious. As this is a pleasant hop from the Santander ferry, we will stay here again.

Great hotel set in a lovely location.

I stayed for two nights at the end of a motoircycle tour of Spain and Portugal. This is a perfect location for anyone who visiting the Picos de Europa. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful scenery and the Rio Esla runs close by. Watching Eagles flying around from my hotel room was a great makes the location even better.
Motorcycles are welcome and are safe within the hotels courtyard overnight. The hotel has a small cosy bar with cold Mahou on tap in large glasses. Self catering is available but I stuck to the menu. Food is tasty with ample portions.
One thing to note is the accommodation which is in a rural style and absolutely spotless.
Many thanks to the owners Anton and Natalia for making me feel welcome and looking after me.
If you are after an alternative to the bustle of Pores and the rather souless Riano then this is the place.

Excellent four week stay for walking, cycling and swimming

Everything about this place was excellent. The hosts could not do enough for us and even took us on two excursions. Natalia is a designer by trade and this shows in the way she has refurbished and decorated the rooms. Very comfortable bed and lots of room. The shared kitchen is spacious and we had it to ourselves most of the time. We had access to a fridge and freezer which cut down on shopping trips. We chose to go self catering but Natalia's meals did look good. There is a very good supermarket about 15k away with smaller shops in Riano. The atmosphere in the hotel bar is lovely with guests and locals chatting over a drink and tapas. we swam in the Embalse De Riano and walked most of the hills surrounding it. There is a fairly level bike trail along side the River Esla which runs past the hotel. This is also popular for kayackers and there is an entry point opposite the hotel. We booked for two weeks with the intention of going to the coast for the last 2 weeks. We stayed with Antone and Natalia for the full four weeks. Free Wifi in the rooms and public areas was useful. we were able to store our Mountain Bikes in the building and motor bikes were offered parking within the locked courtyard.
