Excellent Hotel
Rooms are very clean and comfortable.
Staff here are fantastic especially Rosie who also helps out in the excellent Nepalese restaurant. The food is so tasty.
I would highly recommend this hotel, reasonably priced and all round good value.

Nice Staff...shame about the identity crisis.
Its not sure if wants to be a pub, a resterant or a hotel and ends up being nothing more than a pub that serves food, that has some bedrooms to hire.
First the picture shown is not what it currently looks like and can be easily missed. Its is not helped by its location of a main road opposite the Seven Valley Railway with just two small parking spaces next to a shed like building.
On arrival at the George you go in what looks like the patio doors and with a little bit of searching found two people cleaning the bar and though they were very welcoming it is what I think of as a hotel. The bedrooms are accessed by a windy staircase with a carpet that looks like it seen better days. First impressions of the room on arrival its ok not somewhere I would choose for a romantic get away but will do. The room we had a bathroom with a shower over the bath a wardrobe, tv and small dressing table (with a couple of bottles of water and a note about the towels. The bed was large and I found it comfortable. There is a small patio just out side but we couldn't find a key to open it.
I was told that the hotel had just been refurbished if had it been done, it was done on the cheap. Though the bed and the furniture in room was fine I not sure that chipboard in a bathroom is a good idea. On the surface the rooms look fine but if look closer you begin to notice things such as dirt under the bed and the bathroom needed a bit of care.
That is probably feel was one of the biggest let downs, though we were offered clean towels every time we came across a member of staff (all of who seem to want to help) the bedroom was not hovered or bins emptied once during our stay,(also get rid of the leaflets left in the draws by previous occupants, there is nothing wrong with leaving a few out, so people can see what is around but not in the bedside drawers) which is something I would expect from a hotel. Another moan is the internet, these days you expect to able to use the internet (especially as I with 3 and could not seem to get a decent signal anywhere in Shropshire) and though it was not hard to work out what the network was when my partner went to ask for the password none of the staff seemed to understand her request.
Lets talk breakfast (first of all we were not expecting any, so to be told that it was included in the price of our room was a nice surprise) There no was real menu, we were told the what was available by the staff on arrival. It was ok. I had scrambled eggs every day and my partner had toast, but it just felt cheap they must have been using the cheapest bread possible for the toast (so much so we bought a loaf and they kindly used that instead) As attentive as the staff were you could not help feeling it was not an enjoyable experience. If you are looking just some food before you hit the road and you don't care how its served or its quality then its fine and I said earlier we not expecting any so we should not really complain.
Though this review seems to be full of moans, for what I paid I am happy with what I got but it not what is advertised. If you are looking for a romantic get away or a nice break away then this not the place for you but if you are just looking to get your head down for the night in a cleanish room in Bridgenorth at a reasonable price then this ideal. The staff are friendly an welcoming but the been delt a bad hand.
If Rosina is the owner then I suggest she may have a look a the channel 4 serries "four in the bed" yes it acted up for the cameras but it will give her a hint of what people are looking for in a B&B.
